Clarification regarding movement into and out of Tier 4 areas and grassroots sport
Following confirmation that the North-East will be placed in Tier 4 from 31 December 2020, Northumberland FA and Durham FA must provide all participants with clarity on defined tier areas. The North-East now has three clearly defined tier areas, as follows;
Taken from: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/full-list-of-local-restriction-tiers-by-area Travel into and out of tier 4 areas is not permitted, this applies in youth and disability football. Each bullet point listed above is defined as a tier area. You must not travel from one tier 4 area into another tier 4 area. All other non- elite football is currently suspended as per FA guidance issued on 30 December 2020 - https://www.thefa.com/news/2020/dec/30/covid-19-tier-4-update-301220. Therefore, for example, a team or participant would not be able to travel from Gateshead to play or train in Newcastle upon Tyne and vice versa. These defined tier areas have been confirmed by The FA via the Department for Digital, Media, Culture and Sport (DCMS) and must be adhered too. |

Dear All
With the Confirmation from The FA of the return of football Please
Note the following,
Central Venues will remain One Parent per player and will be enforced
this is to ensure we comply with page 7 of the guidance for facilities
and management congestion and social distancing.
We would advise in the strongest terms that clubs do the same at their
own venues, we believe there is simply not the space at the side of
the pitch to maintain social distancing with open numbers.
We have been advised failure to maintain social distancing at a venue
will lead to sanctions against offenders by the governing body..
FACE COVERINGS;
If social distancing is maintained there is no requirement to wear a
face covering, However we would strongly advise that a face covering
is worn to minimise the risk to all.
Please be aware Football has been permitted But it will be stopped IF
people chose to ignore the Rules & Guidance we as a league will do
what we can to ensure the players get the best opportunity of playing
this season we ask we all work together and Most of All Try & Keep
Everyone Safe
Kind Regards
League Committee

POSTED 11/11/2020:
November/December Mini Soccer Splits
The mini soccer groups, with a couple of exceptions, have now been split and will be live on Thursday for review.
As an organisation we fully understand the positive impact playing sport has on children. We will work tirelessly to ensure that we can continue to provide football to our young players in a safe environment, and are committed to ensuring all current regulations and guidelines are followed to aid our goal of completing the 2020/21 season.
Where possible the splits have allowed us to take the decision to reduce some group sizes. This step has been taken to give the teams and players every opportunity to complete the season, and we are currently working on contingency measures to give teams and players the opportunity to play football for the remainder of the season.
Please see information below relative to the different groups, ages and playing days
U7&U8 Mixed Sunday
These have now had their first split. We have used the data from the first set of games to align the teams more evenly in terms of ability/standard, however given there is another split we have also looked to ensure teams have been given opportunities to also play different teams. There will be one final split which will be the final group standing for the season.
U9, U10 & U11 Mixed Sunday
This is the proposed final standings for these groups on a Sunday. You will notice we have taken these from groups of 10-12 teams down to groups of 8 & 9. This decision has been taken to allow, where possible, these groups to complete a full season and play both home and away games now the split is complete. This second lockdown has further shown what uncertain times we are currently living through and our priority and commitment is to ensuring our young players can not only play football in a safe environment but we aim to give them every opportunity to complete the season and see it through to the end.
U8 & U10 Mixed Saturday
As yet these groups are not ready to split. Our current estimate is that these will be ready to split around 19th December and this will allow the split to take place over the festive break.
These groups once split will be the final group standings for the remainder of the season.
U9 & U11 Mixed Saturday
Given the smaller number of teams in the Saturday groups we have tried to keep these in groups of no more than nine, again to try and ensure that the teams can complete the season. Some groups have had to remain as groups of 10 and whilst we are still confident these teams can complete the season we will actively monitor and work with any teams should any issues arise.
U8 & U9 Girls Saturday
As with the U8 & U9 Mixed Saturday these groups are not ready to split. Our estimate is that we can split these groups over the festive break.
U10 & U11 Girls Saturday
Again we have tried to maintain groups of no more than 9 where possible. These will be the final group standings for the remainder of the season.
Glendale U8s & U10s
The U8s will continue operating and running from Greensfield 3G facility in Alnwick with a decision to be made of the format.
The Current U10s will amalgamate into one of our Saturday or Sunday groups.
Currently the U10s are dual banded and a mixture of U9 and U10 teams. Should any of the teams wish to join the U9 or U10 Sunday league or the U9 Saturday league they must inform the league via return email no later than 6pm on Thursday 12th November to allow us to move them across at this split.
Finally below is a link to a request form. Once the leagues are live the club secretary or chairperson can submit a request on behalf of the team to move groups.
Please note whilst requests will be considered they may not be granted and submitting a request is not acceptance that this will be granted.
Requests will only be accepted via the form below and only from the club secretary or chairperson

Posted 18/09/2020 - Our central venues offer an ideal platform for young, newly qualified or inexperienced referees to gain experience, confidence and the basic practical skills required.
We offer the opportunity for newly qualified referees to spend 1 or 2 seasons at the venues before moving on to 9v9 and 11v11 games at home and away venues. Generally we fill vacancies from recent referee courses and with the assistance of the county RDO passing on the details of our venues to new and existing referees. The last 6 months have been unique and unprecedented in every way. Currently due to circumstances beyond anyone's control we have been left with a void in the process of new referees coming into central venues. As many of our referees are also still attending school or colleges when there is a confirmed COVID-19 case within their school bubble all are told to self isolate for 14 days. Referees have also been told that should they have any symptoms of COVID-19 they are not to attend central venues or carry out any other refereeing appointment and follow all government guidelines. Please ensure that all managers/coaches and teams attending central venues that whilst every effort is made to ensure venues are covered with match officials there will be occasions when games will have no referee available and managers/coaches must agree upon a coach/manager to referee the game. In the recent guidelines issued earlier this week managers were informed they must carry a whistle to all central venues games and this is to ensure that they are able to referee a game should the need arise. We look forward to welcoming new referees to our venues throughout the season when courses and also welcoming back our referees from last season. |
Note from Yvonne - Coaches site for the attention of Teams who play at Central Venues .
Any Manager who requires a whistle please see Yvonne at Foxhunters . Before anyone heads to the sports shop on the Silverlink , l have bought their whistle stock and they wont get anymore in until next week . l have been told you can order 1 online with Argos ? |
